Price of crude oil goes down, price at the pump goes up.
The price of crude oil has gone down a bit over the past couple of days, but it continues to go up at the pump ($3.15 here). Why is it that when the cost of crude oil goes up, gasoline at the pump rises immediately; but when the cost of crude oil goes down, however, it can take weeks for the pumps to show a decline?
We know the answer, of course. Profits. Milk as much as you can from the consumers before reducing the price. Raise it as soon as you can to get more.
